To help make it that way, we've created a handy Fundraising Handbook that’s full of helpful tips, ideas, and guidelines. You can download it for free to get started. It’s also important to follow a few key rules and regulations to ensure your fundraising is safe and compliant, for you and for MND Victoria.
Creating a fundraising page is one of the easiest and most effective ways to get started. It lets you share your story—why you're raising funds for MND—and makes it easy for friends, family, and colleagues to support you, no matter where they are in Australia or around the world.

3. Resources and inspiration
You’ll hear from our friendly team after you register online and we’ll provide resources, advice, and inspiration to help make your fundraiser a success.
4. Raise funds and awareness for MND
Every dollar you raise helps provide vital care, support and equipment to those living with MND. By fundraising for MND Victoria you are raising awareness about the disease and helping make a difference for those impacted by MND.

Fundraising tips from Anita - one of our fundraising Champions
I was a part of our first Great MND Relay in 2024 after my mum's recent diagnosis of bulbar-onset MND in November. The news was quite fresh, so we stuck to keeping it in our immediate family. Although seeing the amazing support we had next year, we plan to spread it to extended family and friends to join us for the relay, as it was such an amazing day.
Some of my fundraising tips would be to share your story and a little bit of what their donations will actually go to supporting and helping all those diagnosed. We got our kids involved to participate in the relay as it gave them a feel of helping and supporting their nanna personally as well. So reaching out to their year level groups at school and sporting teams for any donation, big or small, went such a long way.
Using your socials is also a good way to get the word out there, and finally, trying out your own workplace. I own my own hairdressing business from home, so I dedicated a day of blow waves where all profits went towards my fundraising too. It was only my time, they had beautiful hair for the weekend, and it helped me fundraise. Win win!”
