Join me as I fundraise for MND Victoria and help raise vital funds and awareness in support of those living with motor neurone disease (MND).
My name is Francis, also known as “Frank the Tank” Collins, and I am competing in a gruelling endurance, last man standing event in honour and recognition of my late father, Michael.
We only had 9 months with Dad from the day he got his MND diagnosis to his final weeks going through the voluntary assisted dying process, passing in the early months of 2024.
Dad had a very aggressive and painful type of MND. He was in constant pain but never complained.
This October, I'm putting my mind and body on the line to help raise vital funds and awareness for MND Victoria, to honour Dad and support other families facing an MND diagnosis today.
Every contribution makes a difference.

On 31 October, I’ll be taking on Hardcore Harry’s King of the Hill.
This unique event requires competitors to complete a 4.2 km loop with approximately 300 metres of climbing every hour, on the hour, until only one runner remains.
My goal is to run until 4 November—Dad’s birthday.

The combined distance I'll have conquered in honour and remembrance of Dad.

The combined incline I'll have conquered in support of other families impacted by MND.

The consecutive hours I'll have conquered in order to make a meaningful difference.

Two years ago, I lost my dad to MND.
Throughout that journey, MND Victoria was there to support both Dad and our family when we needed it most. I’ve wanted to find a meaningful way to give something back ever since.
This challenge is my way of doing that.
I know the physical and mental hardship I’ll experience over five days won’t compare to what Dad endured, but every difficult lap is a tribute to him and an opportunity to raise vital funds and awareness for families facing MND today.
