Mary-Jane Stolp welcomed as new CEO of MND Victoria

MND Victoria are pleased to announce the appointment of Mary-Jane Stolp as Chief Executive Officer.
Mary-Jane is a values driven leader, with more than 25 years of leadership experience across the disability, health, aged care and community services sectors. A seasoned CEO and Board Chairperson, she’s passionate about advocacy and leading teams to achieve a positive and longstanding impact in the community – making her a great fit for MND Victoria.
Most recently serving as CEO at The Bridge Inc for five years, Mary-Jane is well respected for her work strengthening outcomes for people with disability, building a high-performing culture, and delivering service excellence in highly regulated environments.
Mary-Jane will be commencing in the CEO role on February 9th 2026.
“It’s an honour and privilege to be joining MND Victoria, a wonderful organisation with a rich history of making a difference in the lives of people with MND and their loved ones.
I’m looking forward to working with the State Council and the MND Victoria team, clients and carers to progress our strategic priorities and ensure we are fulfilling the vision to provide the best care until the world is free of MND.
On a personal level my passion for ensuring our services respond to community needs is unwavering. MND Victoria will work with partners to ensure a positive impact in people’s lives. We will continue to advocate for much needed funding for the people we support and their carers whilst redoubling efforts with all stakeholders to search for a cure for MND.” said Ms Stolp.
Jo Whitehouse, interim CEO, congratulated Mary-Jane on her appointment and looks forward to working with her.
“I’m very excited to welcome Mary-Jane into the role. We’re an organisation made up of wonderful people doing important and impactful work, and I have every confidence that Mary-Jane will steer us into a new chapter full of impact for people living with motor neurone disease and their families.
“It’s been a privilege to act as interim CEO over the last few months, and I want to give a heartfelt thank you to all of MND Victoria’s staff and volunteers, who continue providing the excellent support and care MND Victoria is known for.” said Ms Whitehouse.
We extend our gratitude to Jo Whitehouse for her work as interim CEO. In this time of change, her leadership and support enabled MND Victoria’s staff and volunteers to continue providing the excellent services MND Victoria is known for.
Jo will resume her usual role as General Manager – Support Services.
We also extend our thanks and appreciation to Kim Hamilton for her outstanding work as the interim General Manager – Support Services.
