MND Victoria Volunteers are involved in a range of roles providing support for people with MND, their carers and the Association.
Program Support Volunteers
Contribute to the operation of MND Victoria by providing support in one or more of the following areas:
- Front office and reception
- Data collection, entry and reporting
- Collating and compiling information kit resources
- Newsletter production and distribution
Client Support Volunteers
Support people living with MND in their own community or residence of choice. Our current support programs include:
- Home and community visits for social connection
- Gentle hand and foot massage
- Bereavement calls
- Life Stories
- Coordinating local support groups
- Supporting people to learn to use their iPad.
Special Events – Supporter Development and Communications Volunteers
Support our fundraising activities and special events or bring skills to our communication team to help us ensure MND Victoria messages are available in the community. Volunteers are involved in:
- Merchandise
- Walk to D-feet MND
- Sausage sizzles
- Special events as they arise
- Assisting in developing communication materials and resources
