MND Victoria provides a range of services across the state to support people with MND, their carers, family, friends and health professionals. These services are provided through the Support Services (SS) team at no direct cost to the person with MND.
MND Victoria is a registered provider of supports under the National Disability Insurance Scheme [NDIS]. Through the MND Advisor – Support Coordination service, people with MND and their family are supported as they prepare to enter the NDIS, and if so desired, through the planning process and beyond. Participants of the Scheme may nominate MND Victoria as their provider for Support Coordination and/or the rental of assistive technology (disability aids and equipment) if these supports are funded in their plan.
Introductory information regarding the NDIS can be found here.
Further information about MND Victoria’s services under the NDIS can be found under the Equipment and MND Advisor - Support Coordinator pages.
To register for MND Victoria's services, please register online or contact the Association on (03) 9830 2122 or 1800 806 632.
Care and support is delivered through the provision of information, advice, practical assistance and personal support to people with the diagnosis, their families, carers, former carers, health professionals and service providers - find out more about our specific services below:
People with MND can decide their own preferred level of involvement, for example, initially they may wish only to receive the MND News. Alternatively, they might find it useful to meet with a local MND Advisor, who can visit at home, provide information about support services in the area, and assist in linking into those services if required.
