Why I am fundraising

Support Woori Yallock Primary School's Big Freeze for MND! Our Junior School Council (JSC) representatives have chosen to support MND Victoria after being deeply moved by the recent passing of Australian icon Neale Daniher. Neale's courage, determination and tireless advocacy inspired millions of Australians, and our students felt this was a meaningful cause that could make a real difference. To show our support, this Friday Woori Yallock Primary School will be holding our very own Big Freeze Ice Bucket Challenge! Our JSC representatives, along with a number of brave WYPS staff members, will have buckets of icy water tipped over their heads to help raise awareness and much-needed funds for Motor Neurone Disease. MND Victoria is the only not-for-profit organisation in Victoria dedicated to providing care and support services for people living with Motor Neurone Disease. The funds raised help provide essential direct care, support, and vital assistive equipment, not only for those living with MND but also for their families and loved ones throughout their journey. Every donation, big or small, will help make a difference. Thank you for supporting our school community as we come together to honour Neale Daniher's incredible legacy and help improve the lives of those affected by MND.
