Webinar 1: Apple Accessibility for MND: Educating Professionals to Enhance Independence (5 March, 2pm-3.30pm, AEDT)
Apple products are designed with everyone in mind. Their products have built-in features that can be leveraged to maximise independence for those living with MND. Join hosts, MND SA to unpack how key accessibility features such as voice control (this is not Siri!), Touch Accommodations, and Live Speech (plus more!) can help people stay connected, remain in control and continue to do things that are important to them.

Webinar 2: Translating Genetic Insights into Care (6 May, 2pm-3.30pm AEST)
The role of genetics in the underlying pathology of MND is now recognised to be of critical importance. While some cases of MND are clearly familial, emerging evidence indicates that genetic factors also play a causal role in a subset of sporadic presentations. Hosted by MND Victoria, this session will explore the clinical and therapeutic implications of genetic discoveries, approaches to genetic testing and counselling, and how multidisciplinary collaboration supports individuals and families navigating genetic aspects of MND.

Webinar 3: Saliva, Secretions and Comfort in MND: A Collaborative Approach to Everyday Care

Hosted by MND QLD, this session explores how a multidisciplinary team can work together to manage saliva and secretion changes in MND. Through shared expertise and practical insights, we’ll discuss simple, evidence-based approaches that support comfort, communication, and quality of life for people living with MND.

This webinar explores practical, person-centred palliative care strategies to promote comfort and quality of life for people living with MND. Hosted by MND WA, this session will highlight the importance of introducing palliative care early, helping to manage symptoms proactively, support decision-making, and ensure care aligns with the individual’s needs and values.

Webinar 5: Supporting the psychological health and wellbeing of people living with MND and their support networks
(12 November, 2pm-3:30pm AEDT)
Hosted by MND NSW, this session will explore the impact of MND on the psychological health and wellbeing of the person diagnosed with the disease as well as their family and support network. A range of strategies and interventions will be discussed providing attendees with greater awareness of the pathways to support, approaches to care and insights into how to navigate and address the emotional, social and psychological complexities of the disease.
