Carer Wellness : Journaling

A FREE 3 week ONLINE program for carers. Do you have lots of thoughts keeping you awake at night? Writing or journaling has been found to be very helpful as a way of managing stress and looking after yourself.

Petra is an accredited mental health social worker and counsellor who brings warmth, compassion and many years of skills and knowledge to her work.

Petra has worked in adult and older people’s community mental health as a mental health clinician, a family support worker in palliative care and hospital social work. She ran a neighbourhood house where she saw the need for social connection to tackle isolation and loneliness. She is now in private practice and offers counselling which includes Carer Gateway.

Petra is passionate about assisting people to learn skills to cope with their present circumstances and to have a sense of hope for the future. She sees her role with carers as being the scaffolding to assist them in their role as scaffolding for their loved one.
